Overview
Young people in Britain have become more and more at risk of Radicalisation & extremism and those working in this sector need to be aware of the factors that make young people more vulnerable to radicalisation, both within the family and external factors. In order for schools and childcare providers to fulfil the Prevent duty, its is essential that staff are able to identify children who may be vulnerable to radicalisation, and now what to do when they are identified. The statutory guidance makes clear that schools and childcare providers are expected to assess the risk of children being drawn into terrorism, including support for extremist ideas that are part of terrorist ideologyWho is Radicalisation & Extremism Awareness aimed at?
